Art communicates emotions

Landscapes

The inspiration for this series of paintings came from the beauty of water in natural settings.  The way the surrounding land and trees reflected in the different bodies of water had a calming and peaceful effect on me.  From that, I wanted to paint the scenes and to convey the feeling of beauty and serenity in these natural settings.

These places were visited during trips that included hikes through forests and along rivers.

You have captured the essence of the peace and harmony in nature. Your work, “River Rest” makes me want to walk to the water’s edge and drop a line in to fish, not necessarily to catch anything but to become one with the landscape and as such capture and engulf that harmony within myself. Much like Rifle Lake-ask Bill. Congratulations.

Thank you, Sid.
I love your comment: “essence of the peace and harmony”. That is exactly what I tried to achieve for my water landscape.
