Art communicates emotionsPrints, et. al.
Even though they take a tremendous amount of time, and great precision, I enjoy doing prints of certain aspects of the world we live in. Subjects and ideas come from daily life, while traveling, or when reading about what is going on in the world. Some inspiration comes from very close to home, like when mother raccoon comes down to the deck to see if there is anything interesting–followed timidly by her adorable (but very wild!) babies. Others come from my life experiences and a lithograph or linocut seems the best way to give expression to my feelings.

Meerkats
I just love to watch documentaries about meerkats. They are so furry and friendly. Talk about a sociable group! There is something almost human about the way they work and play together.
From time-to-time, I prefer the title “Peace & Happiness” for these two cranes as they fly through thick bamboo forest. They are so free and happy, masters of their world.
